Son of James and Rachel Stephenson of Millhead, Carnforth and husband of Hilda nee Smith also of Millhead, Carnforth.
The 1921 census shows Edward was living at 4 Archer Hill, Millhead with his parents and was 3 years old. His father was working on the railways. In 1939 Walter was a shop assistant in an ironmongers.
He married in September 1940 and had a daughter Jean who was born in 1942.
